At the season kick-off, we not only celebrated the anticipation of sun, water and sessions together, but also refreshed our knowledge and picked up new skills.
We started with a short theory session on the terrace of the Minigolf Bistro Murten in beautiful weather. During this we recalled the most important safety aspects of wakeboarding and wakesurfing and discussed all the new features of the current season. Afterwards, Bruno, the managing director of Moomba Supra AG, gave us the latest updates on the current club boat as well as tips and tricks for the perfect wave - really exciting and even for the experienced boaters there was still a thing or two to learn.
But the highlight came at the end: We were able to practise water rescue in the lake under professional guidance. A welcome refresher course for many of us - and definitely an important building block for a safe and hopefully accident-free season.
Now we're ready: for great sessions, cool tricks and many hours together on the lake! . . . and of course we didn't miss the chance to go surfing at the end.
